ok, I know I immediatly look like I don't know anything about guitar because I'm posting in the blink section, but the point is, this intro is totally correct with the exception of that first guitar high strung power chord. It should just be played however the player likes it, whether it be harmonizing to the root, third, or fifth on the b string (open, 5th, or 9th fret) it's not the open high e string alone though.

after the 4 bars of drums the guitar comes in .like this:

It's kinda sad how Tom goes from a really good guitarist (definitely not one
of the best) to what he's become now. They weren't kidding when they said
they've changed for their self-titled album.

There are at least 2 guitars in this song. The rhythm guitar obviously plays
the chords. The chord names are above the tabs so they are played with the lead.
