The Gardner
By: The Tallest Man on Earth
This is my first tab, and I think it’s all correct. If you see a mistake or have any questions, email me at papershop123@gmail.com
The progressions repeat alternating just like the first and second verse. Listen to the song for strumming patterns, and changes.

The album version uses capo 6 and tunes the high E string up two steps to F#,
but frankly, this version sounds almost identical and is very easy to play.
Have fun!

Chords: This is my first tab, I'm an amateur and don't
really know exactly what these chords are but I think
they sound right and make it easy to play. He plays it
in some kind of weird tuning but I'm not very good at
figuring that stuff out or playing in different tuning
so this is a way to play it in standard. Keep your pinky
and ring fingers on the third fret for most of the song.
On the D hammer on and off between 2 and 3 on the bottom
string where you think it sounds cool. You can add little
fills and hammer-ons on basically all the chords wherever
you want. The messier the better.

"The Gardener"
The Tallest Man on Earth - Shallow Grave (2008)
Tabbed by Dylan Williams

As a preface to this, I would like to say that you should definitely go read
the existing open D tab for this, if you're at all familiar with the tuning.
Not the open Dsus2 tabs that exist, which are all for live versions. The one
open D tab that is filed as a "Chords" tab. Seriously, it's awesome.
Here's a somewhat easy standard tuning version to this song. If you want to
play in the song's original key (album version) of G#, you'd have to capo it
at the eighth fret, which may be a little high.

Song: The Gardener

Label: Gravitation

Notes : This is my first chording, so it is sure to have flaws.
It is a very simplistic version of the song, with no Open D, so it will
sound off if you try playing along with the song.
Capo 4 also works fairly well.
Please direct any comments, questions, etc., to my ultimate-guitar.com mailbox.
Chords are at the bottom of the page. Thanks!
*The G-G6 progression is optional. It works fine with G-G (you can replace G6s with standard Gs)

The original of this song is very difficult to play, so I wrote an easier version if you
just want the general tune.
